February Update from the Chairman
This morning I took a walk around the course (in my wellingtons, of course) and you will see in the post a couple of photographs. I am a bit of a “second guesser” and an “over thinker” (courtesy of a George Ezra lyric)
You see, I started to think like an avid golfer and my mind drifted to previous years when March Golf Club had a no closure policy in place. What’s more, I know that we would have attempted to play golf in these conditions… hitting the odd pure shot LOL
Does that make the old policy correct or our new protect our course policy better?
The Management of our lovely Club is in good hands and the whole team are well aware of the implications course closures have on us all.
With this in mind, please can I ask you for your continued support of our Greens Team at this very trying time. The better weather is just around the corner and we will reap the benefits … fingers crossed!
Not only are we looking forward to improvements in the weather but we have a full Social calendar this year and I would like to personally thank you for the response to our Italian Evening which is a sell out! We are all looking forward to a great night with Back Two as our entertainment.
The caterers are arranging their popular Mothering Sunday lunch. Please pop your names up on the sheet on the notice board.
The Spring Ball event in April is filling up nicely and the poster and sign up sheet are also on the noticeboard.
Our Junior Academy is relaunching after a winter break and starts on the 7th March … so if you know any youngsters who would like to look as good as these two below, let them know.
