Hello fellas, hope you have been enjoying your golf as much as me.

Well actually I’m lying, I’ve not been playing well recently but a lesson with our Golf Pro this week has considerably improved me and I’m looking forward to a nice run of weather and matches ahead.

Yesterday saw us host and knock out Cambridge Meridian in the CAGU first round. Result was 2-1 to March in the following manner …

Les Forrester and Danny Daniel lost 4&3

Derek Wisbey and John Farnsworth won 2&1

Mick Russell and Alan Jones won 5&4

So onwards and upwards to the next round. We will let you know.

Last Wednesday 20th saw us play a winter eclectic and the result such were …

Roger Watts 42 points

Danny Daniel 41 points

Ray Pescud 37 points

The winter medal league was won by Les forrester closely followed by Peter Coventry and Derek Wisbey.

Graham Twist won the winter eclectic with a nett 48. Well done to him. Second was Tom Dean 49 and third Paul Goddard 40.

Remember, any male player over the age of 55 retired or semi retired is welcome to play with us teeing off 8.00 am Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We a looking forward to the Reynolds Rose bowl on Tuesday 30th April a tee 9.00 am. Any ladies are welcome as we have fulfilled our quota.
