Past Captains v Club - 17th September

In the annual Past Captains v Club competition, eight four balls teed off from 1pm, with the last 4 ball going off at 1 54pm. The final result was, Past captains 6½ to Club's 1½

At the completion of the match all competitor's enjoyed a four course dinner with port supplied by the Club captain, Phil Softley and Chris Hodson, past captain.

At the conclusion of the evening captain Phil thanked all for attending and supporting this annual event.

The competition was concluded with dinner, after which, members took time to pay respects to the late Seve Ballesteros, who had died the previous day.

Mail on Sunday Golf Classic 2011:

  Mail on Sunday 2011_1March Golf Club played Ryston Golf Club on Sat. 30th. April 2011 at March, in the Mail on Sunday Golf Classic 2011.

March lost 3½ to 1½. Club Captain, Phil Softley, congratulated the Ryston team on their win and wished them good luck in their next game. He commented that it was a close game and congratulated his team on their performance.

Town v Country 2011:

The annual Town v Country match was held on Good Friday the 22nd April 2011. For the first time in many a year, The "Country" team won 5 & 3. The match was played in exceptional April weather and was concluded by a fish & chip supper, thoroughly enjoyed by all those who took part. Captain Phil Softley offered his congratulations to the winning team and commended the forthcoming May Club dinner dance to all members.

The Joint Captains' Charity benefited to the tune of £52 as the result of a draw held during the supper.

March G C v St Ives - Mixed Match 2011:

March Golf club played St Ives golf club on Sunday the 17th April in a mixed Greensomes competition. March won the match by 4½ to 3½. Vice-Captain Stephen Layton congratulated the March team and thanked all players for talking part in a most enjoyable afternoon and evening.
