Hole 1 / Hole 10 WIMBLINGTON

Wimblington railway station was a station in the village of Wimblington, Cambridgeshire before it closed in 1967.  Unfortunately, it became one of many cuts from the Beeching axe.   The station itself was demolished back in the early 1970’s and was used for the site of construction of the new alignment of the A141 road.

The key to par is a tee shot that finds the fairway on Wimblington, allowing a clear shot towards the green. Best to drop short and run on as a ditch awaits the bold approach at the rear of the green.
