Alex is one of youngest Club professionals in Great Britain and was one of the youngest persons in the country to pass as a fully qualified PGA Professional. Prior to becoming the Head Professional at March Golf Club in August 2004 he was for seven years Assistant Professional at Meltham Golf Club, Huddersfield where he built up a good reputation as a Teaching Professional and is continuing that at March.

He has attended Courses and Seminars held by some of the top Coaches of Tour players, which include :-
                    Denis Pugh 'Coaching the Coaches' Seminar in October 2002
                    Scott Cranfield 'Linking Body and Mind' in January 2004
                    Paul Affleck 'Short Games Masterclass' in March 2004
                    'Butch Harmon Masterclass' at The Belfry in June 2004

He started playing golf at the age of 13, joining Meltham Golf Club as a Junior and by the time he left Holmfirth High School at 15 he was playing off a single Handicap of 3. In September 1998 he set a new course record at Meltham of 67 (-4) and in October 1998 became the Club Champion. He has also had successes in competitions in the Halifax, Huddersfield and West Yorkshire area.

The Pro Shop at March is stocked with a good range of Golf Clothing and Equipment.

Alex's policy is to only sell Golf Club's suitable to the individual and Custom Fit is included with all MD Golf Clubs, with many other brands including Titleist, Cobra, etc.
There is also a comprehensive range of good quality second hand branded name equipment in stock, all of which are of course available to try out on the Club's excellent practice area.

Sometimes, clubs are identical with just a very slight difference in their appearance which the manufacturer

The cost of Golf Lessons with Alex are :-

          45 minute session for Adults   -   £20 (take 6 lessons get 7th one free)
          30 minute lesson for Juniors    -   £10 (take 6 lessons get 7th one free)
          Playing and Group lessons also available.
